Diet Coke and Mentos Project

In chemistry, we learned about reactions. In order to further explore the process of performing experiments and recording data, we were assigned a project in which we had to take the well known topic of the reaction between diet coke and mentos, and explore a certain aspect of it.

 

This was interesting because we had to go more in depth than simply "What happens when you put mentos in a diet coke bottle?" Because obviously the answer to that question is "It will make a sticky fountain of goodness." I learned the value of thinking focusedly, and exploring a small aspect of a greater idea.
